OOTD Sunshine

Hey Everyone,

I hope your weekend went well and you are with the best of health. I just wanted to give a very big thank you to everyone who watched my YouTube video, subscribed to my channel, and liked my facebook page. I am very humbled with all the support that I have been receiving, its just the greatest feeling ever.

With that being said I just wanted to share with you my outfit that I am wearing out today. My husband is taking me out on a surprise date so I decided to be a little dressy however a little casual at the same time. I will be uploading a YouTube video shortly with the makeup that I wore with this look soon so stay tuned. The Hijab accessory that I am wearing is just a necklace that I pinned into place.

I hope you enjoy the pictures and have a wonderful week :)

OOTD Cheetah Chic

Are you glad its Friday?! I Defiantly am :)

I hope you had a good week and are super ready for the weekend. I know I am because its JAM PACKED again with some really fun events. My friends pre wedding party, bridal trial makeup for a client, and another friends engagement!

I just wanted to make a quick post of my outfit that I wore yesterday. I wanted to be comfy yet put together at the same time. I think I nailed it! I managed to go to fabricland and get some really cool fabric to start stitching some cool pieces. If anyone is interested fabricland is having their customer appreciation sale 50% off the whole store and I got some really wicked prints for only $2-$4 a meter. If you guys are interested I can do some DIY videos on stitching some cool pieces (leave a comment if you would like that).

Tangerine Twist

Hey Everyone,

I'm so excited to announce that my FIRST EVER YouTube tutorial is now up! Ive worked really hard to get this video working and edited with the help of my wonderful friends. I know its not perfect however its my first video and hopefully I will learn and only get better. I would really appreciate it if you check it out and comment, rate, most of all subscribe to make my day :) (its free)

The look that I showed is called Tangerine Twist. I played off the colours from my hijab again! Like most of my posts I added a different colour to the bottom lashline like this bright green so the look is not so monotone. The hint of blue at the outer corner I feel really made the orange pop.

Sooo what are you waiting for? check out the video!!! (link is below)

The products that I have used are all listed below:
Revlon colourstay foundation in 240
Loreal Age rewind concealer in Medium
Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Sandstorm
Mehron metallic palette (copper gold and green)
Inglot Blue single eyeshadow
Naked cosmetics Orange Pigment BW-03 broadway collection
Urban Decay 24/7 liner
Nyx Glitter liner
Sephora Brand black eyeliner
Duo lash glue and Quo lashes
Rimmel Lip liner in Beige
Loreal Lipstick

Nude Attitude

Hey Everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you guys are doing great and your week started off well. I wanted to make a quick blog post of what I wore yesterday out and about running some errands. I wanted to keep my outfit minimal and easy to drive and walk around in. I'm wearing a dress that I purchased from H&M on fifth ave in New York and I love it. Its long and flowy and not to mention there a subtle shimmer in it so it can be dress up or down. It came with a belt that I removed from the dress and wrapped it over my cardigan for a more clean finish. My Gladiator flats are from American Eagle and they have a soft cushion at the bottom that makes them comfy to walk in.

Retro Vibe

Hey Everyone,

I hope you had a good weekend I know mine was really awesome! I went to a wedding on Friday, did hair and makeup for a bride on Saturday (and attended the wedding) and then Sunday was my day to relax at home so I made red velvet cupcakes :)

I wanted to post a picture of a look that I did yesterday. I was inspired by my funky retro feel hijab. I usually tend not to match my hijab 100% to my eye makeup because sometime it can look a little too matchy matchy. Instead I added a little less pink and mixed in some purple and a pop of green on the bottom lash line.

A lot of people are sometimes afraid of wearing colour at all on their lids. Its understandable because not everyone is comfortable with bright colours. However if you feel like adding a little bit of colour, add it just to the bottom lash line. What I do is that I wing my colour from the bottom up outwards into my outer wing so it looks less top heavy.

I recently went to MAC (trust me I'm not a huge fan) hoooowweeevverrrr I got their new lipstick in Feel My Pulse and I am loving it. Ill do a review on it separately but its defiantly on the top of my list. Im wearing Feel My Pulse mixed with MAC lipstick in Silly in the pictures below.

Hope you enjoy and don't forget to comment and leave me your thoughts :)

Work Friendly Outfit +Makeup

Hey Everyone,

I hope your having a happy Friday! (Jummah Mubarak)

Here's a really quick and short blog post on my makeup and outfit of the day. I wanted to wearing my flowery black and white hijaab however it was really cold outside and needed a cardigan aw sell. Mixing prints was a first for me I usually always tend to stay with a print hijab and solid outfit or vice versa. However because my cardigan was such a subtle print it worked perfect.

For my makeup I didn't do anything too wild and crazy because I am working today and I like to tone it down a little for work. However I just used a Milani Blue eyeliner and smudged it on my lashline with a q-tip and that was it.

Enjoy the pics and don't forget to comment, follow me on instagram, and like my facebook page :)

Cranberry Cray!

Hey Everyone,

I hope your having an awesome day since the weather finally warmed up a bit. Last night was CHILLLY!! Anyways here is a blog post on both my outfit and my makeup. For those of you who don't know much about me, I am going to give you a little background history on myself.

I was born and raised in Toronto (biggguupps) and I am a proud Canadian. Although I was born here my parents are both from Pakistan and came here over 40 years ago (werd). Keeping close to my background is a big deal for me whether it be through clothes, food, family or friends. With that being said I am always buying Pakistani clothes and getting stuff sent from back home from family and friends. The outfit that I am wearing is a prime example. Its called a Kurtha which means shirt if you translate directly. Lately they have been getting more and more Hijab friendly =D Long+loose+full sleeves....Count me in!

The shirt has really intricate embroidery all through the front on the panel and the hem line drops from both the ends at the bottom. I doubled up my hijab to match because I thought all black or all reddish would be too boring. After I tied my hijab I just clipped on a golden bow that I bought at Clairs a while back just to keep everything in place. Lastly was some black tights that are super duper long so they scrunch up at the bottom and some heels.

Kurtha Shirt+ Leggings: Gift
Heels: Bluenotes
Hijab: Silks
Bow: Clairs

Now on to the makeup:

-Coastal Scents metal mania palette is all that I used for this look (the picture below will have the exact shades that I used highlighted)

-For lips I used Revlon Lipstick in Skinlight mixed with Mac Honeylove and Korres Lipgloss in Light purple

Enjoy the pictures and please don't forget to comment and like my facebook page :)

Great Minds Think Alike

Hey Everyone,

Here the first even blog post with my hubby Hassan! We went out after I finished work and watched a movie along with dinner! First off was Hangover 3 which was just hilarious. Not to mention there was a  50 year old couple sitting beside me and my husband which was just mad funny considering the movie was....well its just inappropriate as it gets (lmao). After that we went to have dinner at Naan & Kabob which was soo good. I heard about the restaurant after it was featured on the television show restaurant makeover. The food was delicious and the decor was minimal but on point. I tried Mantu for the first time ever and it was deliiisshhh! Its a dumpling stuffed with beef and beans with sauce drizzled ontop.

I told my husband to take a picture of me for my blog and he decided to join in too. So there you have it an OOTD for the both of us :) Enjoy

OOTD Dolled Up

Hey Everyone,

I hope you guys had a good weekend. My weekend was jam packed with fun events including a surprise bridal shower! I also ended up going to the Halal Food festival. The festival was amazing with good food and is always nice meeting old friends :)

Since my weekend was so busy I needed some quick outfits that were dressy and easy to put together. I slept over my moms place because of the logistics of all the events and I hate taking 1000 things with me while I'm sleeping over. I always manage to forget something,  bring the wrong hijab, or break something. Therefore the minimal amount of stuff I need is better.

This look below is a high-low dress that I got from Forever21 online. I love the fabric because its soooo flowy and soft! The plus side is that the dress has lining aswell which is great for coverage. I paired it with some black skinny jeans and black long sleeve shirt (and killer heels). Simple.

A few people came up to me randomly at the food festival telling me they read my blog and look forward to my posts on instagram. Honestly it means the world to me and you have no idea how happy it makes me. I appreciate all the support that I have been getting from family, friends, co workers, and even people Ive never met before!

I promise to only get better! Until then enjoy the photos <3
