OOTD The Maxi

Hey Everyone,

Theres a saying that every girl should own " a little black dress" however for hijabis that's NOT the case. For us its more like "the long maxi black dress". Honestly ladies a maxi like this can we worn dressed up or very dressed down and casual all on its own. Ive seen plenty of summer sales going on so don't miss out! The one that I have on doesn't have sleeves and a deep V neck line so I wore a purple shirt underneath for coverage and a huge hijab to cover the front.

I hope you guys are enjoying the hot weather....me on the other hand...I really miss fall!

Razor Sharp

Hey Everyone,

Here is a quick blog post of a look that I did a few days ago. I went for an extremely sharp wing extending from my eyeliner with bold red lips. A trick that I used to get the sharp crease was placing a business card to the outer corner of my eye and using it as a guideline while placing my black eyeshadow.

Another easy trick would be using a flat angled eyeliner brush and making the initial straight edge and then blending lightly. (diagram below....very basic lol)

The classic pinup look always has a bold red lip and trust me I'm totally on board. However lately my lips have been chap central!!!!! Here's a trick that I use once in a while, its been working wonders. Take a little bit of brown sugar and mix it with a 1/2 teaspoon of honey and then rub them all over your lips (this will feel exfoliating so dont be too harsh). Not only is it yummy lol but it really leaves your lips feeling nice and soft and hydrated.

OOTD Diva in Denim

I hope you guys are all doing great. In the past few days there has been some decent weather here in Toronto. It is another story that its pouring outside all day today so lets just pretend its not happening :) On the bright side I have been asked to start posting some outfit blog posts. My facebook page is more geared towards my makeup business therefore I am only going to be posting my outfits and such on my blog.

Denim shirts never go wrong in the summer. In this blog post I am wearing a denim shirt dress from Old Navy that was only $24. (hijabi friendly with sleeves.... you cant go wrong with that)

Vivid Nails

Hey Everyone,

Here is a quick blog post my some nails that I did a few days ago. The look was bright and summery! Even though the weather in Toronto is having its mood swings, it doesn't mean that the nails need to take a back seat on the colours. I just went full force on the bright colours :)

A lot of people send me messages after my blog posts for certain colours and stuff that I have used so for that I'm going to start listing them all below.

Bold Bronze

Hey Everyone

I Hope you guys are doing great. This weekend has been a rollercoaster for me but I usually keep my blogs drafted until they are ready to be uploaded so Ill be able to share with you some pictures. Recently thanks to all the support Ive been getting my workloads been increasing and my blogs are getting a little shorter for that I do apologize.

I had a chance to work on another model for a photoshoot in which the theme was a bronzey gold look. This model had endless eyelid space which gave me a lot of room for a smokey look. I used dramatic eyeliner in both gold and black. I did some contouring on the cheeckbones aswell.  I continued by I using OCC lip Tar in a bronze shade to complete the look. Below is my recreation and I hope you guys enjoy the pictures. Please leave any comments and suggestions below :)

Airbrush Makeup

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share some pictures of my work on set for a photo shoot. It was a pleasure working with my model. She had flawless skin and such a beautiful smile. The look we were going for was dramatic rocker chic. I in the first picture you can see that I used clear tape to make a dramatic outter crease. For foundation I used my luminess air airbrush kit.

With airbrush makeup its easy to mix together different colour variations depending on the client/models skin tone. It blends smoothly into the skin looking natural and flawless. A lot of people dont like the feeling of being caked up with foundation. I personally dont either and the perfect solution for that is airbrush makeup.

Airbrush makeup is water based therefore its much thinner than regular makeup. I would recommend covering any problem areas with concealer and then using your airbrush foundation all over the face for a smooth finish like I did in the pictures below.

 For a pop of dimension I used OCC liptar is Yaoi in the center of the models lip only to create a lucious effect. I hope you guys like and enjoy the pictures below. Please comment and leave me your thoughts :)

Love it or Leave it? #2

Hello Everyone,

Today's blog post is going to be about my favourite lip combo of the moment. The master recipe is Mac Pro Long wear lip liner in the colour More to Love and then over top with the Mac Matte Lipstick in Silly.

This lip liner has the longest staying power ever! I love it. For someone who has trouble eating or sipping away their lipstick I would highly recommend these lip liners. I did fill in all of my lips before applying my lipstick on top which definitely helped. warning *must be removed with makeup remover or wipes*
